LGBTQ Community Network for Brighton & Hove
On the 21st of February 2012 the Sallis Benny Theatre, Brighton will host an advance screening of the second series of the successful BBC Three drama, Lip Service. The event, co-hosted by BBC Pride and the LGBTQ Life Research Hub at the University of Brighton, promises to be a highlight of Brighton's LGBT history month.
The preview of the first episode of the second series will be followed by a question and answer session with Harriet Braun, writer and Executive Producer of Lip Service; Heather Peace, who plays the character Sam; Amanda Rice, BBC Head of Diversity and two Media scholars from the University of Brighton’s LGBTQ Life Research Hub: Irmi Karl and Olu Jenzen.
As well as revisiting the lives of Lip Service favourites Cat, Frankie, Tess, Sam and Sadie, the forthcoming second series introduces exciting new characters into the tangled web of sex, lies and true love set in contemporary Scotland. Lip Service fans can look forward to developments in the women's love lives, careers and friendships which are as complex and challenging as ever.
