Following the huge success of Vita and Virginia at Iambic in February here is your next chance to come and see Valerie Dent as Virginia and Tamar Karpas as Vita Sackville West in the Fringe Festival.
A two women play about the relationship, influences and literary styles of aristocrat Vita Sackville-West and Bloomsbury-set member & novelist, Virginia Woolf. As love stories go, this tale of Vita and Virginia was one of the most passionate in the literary world and spanned almost two decades; they nurtured their physical and literary love affair through their intimate correspondence.
The script has been artfully created by actress and playwright Eileen Atkins: she has compiled extracts from their letters and diaries, and presents a unique portrait of Vita and Virginia in dialogue.
This particular version of Vita and Virginia was originally produced by The Players Collective in Lewes in September 2011, and played to critical acclaim.
