Event Description

Brought to you by the Brighton & Hove County Council LGBT Workers Forum.

‘Swords to ploughshares’, an LGTB history Month debate. Us –versus- Them? Us as them? I am all of them.

The debate will be about building bridges between LGBT and faith communities, with a panel of progressive people representing all faiths and also prominent members of the LGBT community who will present their point of view and then all take questions from the floor.

The event is funded by the BHCC LGBT workers forum as a key event of LGBT history month.

The event’s focus is positive and constructive, to look at innovative ways of challenging extreme & prejudiced views in all minority communities (both faith and non-faith, including LGBT) and ways of building bridges and allies between communities in a time when there have been high profile legal challenges and clashes around the various faith and LGBT equalities agendas.

The event is fully accessible, sign language assisted and free to all.

Light refreshments to follow the debate
